CMMI Public Training for October 4–7, 2021
MOSAIC is offering CMMI training for people interested in learning about CMMI for Development or CMMI for Services or both. This training includes the Foundations of Capability course plus the Building Development Excellence course and the Building Service Excellence course. These are ISACA’s (formerly the CMMI Institute) official CMMI V2.0 courses and are taught by our CMMI certified instructor, Dave Quinn. Dave Quinn blends model knowledge and industry experience with humor and numerous war stories to make the CMMI relatable to students. Being a CMMI Lead Appraiser, he also provides insight into CMMI appraisal activities as part of the course. As a Certified Scrum Master, he is able to communicate how Agile methodologies can be supported/enhanced by the CMMI.
These three courses are taught together as the Foundations course is a prerequisite for both Building Excellence courses. The two-day Foundations course (Oct 4-5) provides a high-level overview of the CMMI V2.0 and gives attendees good information on how to use the model for performance improvement. The one-day Building Development Excellence course (Oct 6) provides a deeper application of the CMMI to typical development organizations, giving attendees the opportunity to see how to apply CMMI practices to their organization. The one-day Building Service Excellence course (Oct 7) then applies the CMMI to typical services organizations. After attending the course, participants will understand how the CMMI is structured, how to access the model through the viewer, and how to interpret the model appropriately.
Students who successfully complete the training are eligible to take the official CMMI Associate certification exam. Students also get Professional Development Unit credit for this course through the PMI or other institutions as well.
Please see our course flyer and registration form to sign up for the course(s).
